JD_2020 Twitter that on Tuesday, May 18th during the NBA Eastern Conference Finals, they will show the Call of Duty:Black Ops World Premier Trailer. He also states that the trailer will be 100% gameplay.

Call of Duty: Black Ops will be getting dedicated servers, according to studio head Mark Lamia. This from the latest issue of PC Zone.

 When asked if Call of Duty:Black Ops would have dedicated servers Lamia replied,

"I think dedicated servers are excellent. I don't see any reason not to see them unless... well, I just don't see any reason not to." "It seems people like them and we're excited about what we're doing right now."

"We do work very hard to reconcile the desire to manipulate and modify those dedicated servers with offering them the persistent experience and benefits that the console system provides."

"We're working very hard to marry those two things, so people can run dedicated servers and also participate in the communal experience the console players get to have, given they're all on first-party servers."

This is good news for all PC gamers out there.

Activision announces the second map pack for Modern Warfare 2. This on is called 'Resurgence Pack'. It will feature five maps and not one but two Double XP weekends. First one starts Friday, May 28, and the second on Friday, June . I am guessing that the PC and PS3 will get it a month later.

 There are no details on what the maps are yet. So standby here for the updates.

USA Today has had a chance to talk with Treyarch studio head Mark Lamia and play through a demo level. The name of the level, "WMD," is set in 1968, during the height of the Cold War. In the level the player is using a scoped crossbow, and at one point they switch from a standard arrow tip on his crossbow to an explosive tip. The revels one of the franchise's new features: alternate ammo that can be changed on the fly. And you end the "WMD" level diving off a large cliff.  Looks as if the pics below might be from that level.

They also reveal that the game will have a cooperative mode for two to four players and an online multiplayer mode. As for SP you will play as least two main characters in multiple covert international conflicts.

PlayStation Magazine and Official Xbox Magazine in the UK (on sale later this month) will deliver the first in-depth previews of Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops.

With gamers across the world going wild for the next instalment of gaming’s biggest brand, the first Call of Duty: Black Ops trailer, teased fans with several in-game glimpses and confirmation of its global release on Tuesday, 9th November. Future’s Official PlayStation Magazine and Official Xbox Magazine will put the rumours to bed, delivering the first hard facts, direct from Treyarch’s Californian studio.

The teams from both magazines were granted early access, with their features revealing a wealth of gameplay details, confirmation of level settings, alongside previously unseen in-game shots and artwork. Readers of Official Xbox Magazine and Official PlayStation Magazine will also get an exciting glimpse into the development of Call of Duty: Black Ops, with Treyarch Head, Mark Lamia teasing further features not yet revealed, in an exclusive interview.

Official Xbox Magazine hits newsstands, unveiling Call of Duty: Black Ops on Friday, 14th May – with a cover price of £5.99. Official PlayStation Magazine is available from Monday, 17th May for £5.99.

The Stimulus package is now officially live on both the PS3 and PC. PS3 users can purchase the new map pack through the Playstation Network and PC users can do the same through the Steam Website.

The Stimulus Package introduces five new multiplayer maps to the hit action title, including two fan favourites from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

The new maps are:

Bailout
An apartment complex with claustrophobic corridors and blown out sections overlooking a courtyard and car park.

Storm
A storm-ravaged industrial park littered with worn out factory machines providing precious cover in this open arena.

Salvage
A forgotten scrapyard covered in snow with piled up cars providing a good mix of open air and close quarters combat.

Crash
One of the most popular maps in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, this urban environment has a crashed helicopter at its centre.

Overgrown
Another Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare favourite, this leafy village has a dry creek bed running through the centre, effectively splitting the map in two.
